Ms Yazini April Research Specialist: the Governance and Security Programme Ms April holds Masters of Arts in International Relations from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, USA, and a Juris Doctorate of Law Degree from the John Marshall School of Law, Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Her research interests lie in industrialisation and infrastructural development in South Africa with a focus on collaboration with the Brazil, Russia. India, China, South Africa (BRICS) nations. Prior to coming to AISA, she worked as a Legal Researcher for the law offices of Edward Bauer and Jeff Sakas in Atlanta, Georgia. While at law school she was also President of the International Law Society, and the Coordinator of the International Affairs Committee in the Atlanta Junior Chamber of Commerce.
