Dr. Benard Muok is the Director of Programmes at African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS).
Dr. Muok is also the National Chairman, Kenya National Biofuel Policy Committee – Spearhead development of Biofuel Policy in Kenya by engaging stakeholders and policy makers. His responsibilities include identification of stakeholders, convening meetings of stakeholders, drafting the policy document, educating and influencing policy makers such as senior government officials, parliamentarians through policy briefs and advocacy. He started his career with the Kenya Forestry Research Institute where he rose to the level of a Senior Research Officer. He has successfully managed several projects at national, regional and international level. He has conducted several consultancies and published extensively in international journals and books.
