Northern Nigeria is prone to climate change because of its proximity to the desert and increasing industrial and agricultural activities. The agricultural sector and economy are threatened if the loss of vegetative ecosystems continue. There is an urgent need to formulate, promote and implement policies on climate change adaptation.
