Sanctions against South Africa

This paper is the result of a study group on sanctions against South Africa. The first paper discusses the sanctions against South Africa in the EEC. The implications of sanctions as well as the reasons for implementing sanctions against Africa from Europe are the main topic of this paper. The second paper addresses the problems for Third world countries with regard to sanctions. The Third World countries need the backing of the West to be successful in their attempts for the only reason that South Africa does not rely on these countries for development. Therefore the contribution of the United Nations, OPEC and other organizations in this regard is examined. The third paper explains the foreign policies and boycotts towards South Africa, and what the implications of that on the standard of living would be.
