Gugu Resha holds an MSc in Philosophy and Public Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She obtained a BA and Honours in Humanities and Philosophy, respectively, from Stellenbosch University. She is an alumni of the South Africa-Washington International Program and currently the Machel-Mandela Fellow 2021/2022 at the Brenthurst Foundation.
Gugu has also undertaken internships at the National Women’s Law Center (Child Care and Early Learning) and the South African institute of International Affairs (Youth Programs and Capacity Building) where she worked on advocacy, research and public participation in policy. Her interests are in social policies for poverty reduction, democratic inclusivity, sustainable and inclusive urban development, and addressing youth and gender-based socioeconomic vulnerabilities.
