Kim Kerr has played a key role in Mastercard Foundation’s initiatives in education, including the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program, the Partnership to Strengthen Innovation and Practice in Secondary Education, Leaders in Teaching, the Centre for Innovative Teaching and Learning in ICT. Most recently, Kim directed and led the development of the report, Secondary Education in Africa: Preparing Youth for the Future of Work. Kim has more than 25 years of experience designing and developing education and related programming. She is also engaged in policy issues focused on improving access, quality and relevance of education at primary, secondary and higher education levels. Prior to joining the Foundation, Kim worked as an international development and education consultant with organizations such as UNICEF. Kim served as Technical Team Leader for Save the Children Canada and supported Save the Children’s Rewrite the Future Campaign to provide quality education for young people in conflict affected countries. Kim holds a Master of Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE).
