Lesley’s focus areas of research and practice are socio-economic development through foreign direct investment (FDI) in emerging markets and developing regions. She completed an MBA through the University of Wales, where her thesis was on risk-management and innovation in infrastructure public-private partnerships. Apart from promotion of investment projects in Africa, she spent several years at the World Bank’s Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency on FDI and political risk mitigation technical assistance programmes for member countries.
