The policy and programme options are highlighted in this policy brief that Zambia can adopt in order to accelerate human capital development to optimize its
chances of harnessing the demographic dividend. In order to enhance the chances of earning a substantial demographic dividend, Zambia has to plan and strategically invest in human capital
development. Key policy actions to improve education attainment and skills development, as well as, assure improved health status of its population will ensure that Zambia has a productive and competitive workforce that gives it the edge required for rapid and sustainable socio economic development.
