and inhibit the dissemination of scientific information to the public. This paper attests to the reality of the barriers between scientists and journalists by providing evidence
to that effect, explains why the barriers exist, their impacts on scientists, journalists and society as a whole. The paper will also make suggestions on what can be done to remove the barriers.”
