“In this issue, the economic forecasts were extended out to the end of the year 2000. Obviously these are subject to much uncertainty and will be revised over time, but it is hoped that they will prove to be useful and informative. They mostly show that the positive economic environment that exists at present should continue well into next year, but that a downturn in economic growth is expected heading into 2001.”
