Climate Change and its implication on Women’s Health in the Niger Delta Region

The United Nations Framework Convention on climate change defines climate change as a change of climate which is attributed directly or indirectly to human activity that alters the composition of the global atmosphere and which is in addition to other natural climate variability that has been observed over comparable time periods. The document comprises the following headings: Climate change and it’s implication on women’s health in the Niger Delta Region, Effect of climate change on women’s health, heatwaves and increased hot weather, sea level rises, heavy rain and flooding, shifting rainfall and temperature patterns, Alteration of geographic distribution and vector borne diseases, water scarcity and then recommendations for action.
