The purpose of the presentation was : 1) to provide understanding into the governance gaps in sustainable management of groundwater; 2) to identify the impact on, and what role policy, legal,
regulatory and institutional structures can make in relation to these gaps;
3) to elaborate on the strategic themes necessary for Lagos State to establish more sustainable paths to groundwater
management through practical action; and
4) to propose an agenda that can catalyse the desired future for sustainable management of groundwater.
