This report covers the illicit financial flows in Africa in an illustrative way. Africa is losing in excess of US$ 50-60 billion annually. Illicit financial flows deprive African countries of the crucial resources needed for development. This hampers governments’ ability to provide adequate and functioning public services and infrastructure for their citizens. Illicit outflows outweigh health and education expenditure in most African countries. The negative economic and social impact of IFFS directly impacts human development.
