The Kara agropole is a pilot project implemented within the framework of the strategic plan for the development of agropoles in Togo (2017-2030) and the “Feed Africa” initiative. Thus, the project aims to create conditions favorable to private investment in the Kara region, particularly in the supply of inputs and agricultural services and their marketing. The agropolis will consist of an agro-industrial park (Agroparc) with an area of 46 hectares (ha) for industrial units, and a peripheral area estimated at 165,000 hectares (ha), where agricultural production rice; maize / soy; sesame; cashew nuts present on the site./ L’agropole de Kara est un projet pilote mis en oeuvre dans le cadre du plan stratégique de développement des agropoles au Togo (2017-2030) et de l’initiative “nourrir l’Afrique” . Ainsi, le projet vise à créer dans la region de la Kara, les conditions favorable à l’investissement privé notamment dans la fourniture d’intrants et des services agricoles et leur mise sur la marché. L’agropole sera composé d’ún parc agro-industriel (Agroparc) d’une superficie de 46 hectares (ha) destinée aux unités industrielles, et d’une zone périphérique estimée à 165000 hectares (ha), lieu de production agricole des filières riz; mais/soja; sésame; anacarde présents sur le site.
