Morocco is today cited as an example for its dynamism, its leadership, under the impetus
of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and, above all, its coherence in decision-making and the involvement of the population, through the Covid-19 Special Fund and the media to maintain public confidence. Indeed, the safety of the Moroccans was given priority over all other considerations, which made it possible to speed up the handling of the events and to supervise the management of the contaminated persons. The present analysis describes the different facets of the impact imprinted by the Coronavirus crisis in Morocco on society, the economy and the environment. It showcases the country’s creativity and frugal innovation. It also positions the crisis in relation to the new economic model and the sustainable development goals of the United Nations, while supporting the important role of the international financial institutions in maintaining macroeconomic, financial and social stability in Morocco and Africa./ Le Maroc est aujourd’hui cité comme exemple pour son agilité, son leadership, sous l’impulsion de Sa Majesté le Roi Mohammed VI et, surtout, sa cohérence dans la prise de décision et dans l’implication de la population, à travers le Fonds spécial Covid-19 et les media pour maintenir la confiance publique. En effet, la sécurité des Marocains a été privilégiée par rapport à toute autre considération, ce qui a permis d’accélérer la prise en main des évènements et d’encadrer la prise en charge des personnes contaminées. Cette analyse décrit les différentes facettes de l’ampleur de la crise du Coronavirus au Maroc. Que ce soit sur la société, l’économie, l’environnement. Elle met en valeur la créativité et le recours à l’innovation frugale dont a fait preuve le pays. Elle positionne, également, la crise par rapport au nouveau modèle économique et aux objectifs du développement durable des Nations unies, tout en appuyant le rôle important des institutions financières internationales dans le maintien de la stabilité macro-économique, financière et sociale du Maroc et de l’Afrique.
