This issue takes a look at the Rhodesian settlement initiatives through firstly looking at the Constitution of Zimbabwe Rhodesia in 1979. It then goes through statements concerning sanctions by the United States, United Kingdom, the Zimbabwe Rhodesian Duty Prime Minister (Dr S. Mundawarara), the Zimbabwe Rhodesian Prime Minister (Bishop Abel Muzorewa) and a statement on the Commonwealth Conference communique by the Zimbabwe Rhodesian Prime Minister. There are also extracts concerning Zimbabwe Rhodesia from the final communique of the Commonwealth Conference in Lusaka (August 1979) and an address by the United Kingdom Foreign Secretary (Lord Carrington). The issue continues to discuss negotiations on South West Africa/Namibia.
