No significant studies have been conducted on the importance of SMEs in the national economy. Having identified the research gap, a study entitled ‘’Small and Micro Enterprises (SMEs) Development in Ethiopia: Policies, Performances, Constraints and Prospects’’ was conducted and published by EEA in 2014.
