“This paper examines the attempts at the restoration of peace and security in Somalia, which is critical to the establishment and maintenance of stability in the region. Unless there is genuine political will and sustained engagement from the region, the continent and the broader international community on the conflict in Somalia and its resolution, Somalia is likely to continue to devolve into a vicious cycle of conflict. All actions to resolve the conflict in Somalia should bear an international stamp that secures collective responsibility to secure peace and stability in Somalia and the Horn of Africa.”
