Operation in Darfur (UNAMID), presents and their implications for regional peacekeeping training. The piece is informed by the argument that the environment of the African
Mission in Sudan-Darfur (AMIS), which was established by the decision of the AU Peace and Security Council (PSC)in 2004, typifies two of the mission scenarios of the African Standby Force (ASF).
