“This paper aims to provide a broad overview of the emerging policy framework in relation to local government crime prevention, as well as the reasons for this approach. In addition, some attempt is made to outline areas where intervention can occur at local government level. Finally, some of the constraints and dangers of local government involvement in crime prevention are explored.”
