In this paper the focus is mainly on Rhodesia and the economic sanctions. However the background to the Commonwealth in connection with British rule is being described and followed by the dilemma Rhodesia faced because of the Labour Party. The political development and the United Nations hand in the sanctions against Rhodesia as well as the impact that these sanctions will have on Rhodesia are explained.
