The primary objective of the Comparative National Election Project (CNEP) post election survey, held in Kenya – was to generate data that could provide insights into the views and attitudes of Kenyan voters about their political institutions and the 2013 general election in particular. This policy brief focuses on the information that was available to voters regarding the general election. The purpose of this is to make recommendations that can assist electoral administrators, political parties, media, civil society organisations and the citizens of Kenya in improving the integrity of electoral processes and election outcomes, and the public’s confidence in them.
