The economic situation in Zimbabwe has demonstrated a similar pattern of decline as 60% of the population lives under the poverty line. Compounding Zimbabwe’s economic woes are mismanagement, corruption and maintaining troops in the DRC. This update discusses the aid from South Africa and how the economic crisis in Zimbabwe would affect South Africa. It also addresses the measures that Zimbabwe will have to take to ensure economic reform.
