Zimbabwe’s Democracy: Quantifying the Impact of Electoral Maladministration

“The object of this paper is to measure the extent to which election (mal)administration contributed to the performance of the two main contenders. It thus concentrates on issues that supersede the violence etc. It examines consequences of administrative actions as if there were no consequences to the violence and intimidation. The latter would thus affect the election in additive ways. The administration of the election ensured that electors in opposition constituencies are more supportive of the ruling party.”
