Namibia is the focus of this publication. The United Nations Security Council debate in 1983 was held at the request of the African Group and the Group of non-aligned countries. The last article ‘Southern Africa: America’s responsibility for peace and change’ discusses the crisis in Southern Africa with special reference to Namibia and Angola, and how the United states can contribute to the peace process.
