“A series of measures are being promoted –
mostly by civil society – to secure local rights under the Land Law, and to allow local people to participate fully in the new
development process. This paper examines some of these measures as they are
being applied in Manica Province, or in other words, to see in practice how the diverse rights of the Mozambican people over
land and other natural resources are being secured, while promoting new investments and the sustainable use of these resources.”
