This case study describes some aspects of
development processes underway in the
Suid Bokkeveld in recent years, and focuses on the adaptive aspects. The Suid
Bokkeveld was a pilot site for this project, and the on-going adaptation processes within this unique community provided rich opportunities for reflecting upon and gaining insight into what
it is that enables communities to adapt to climatic variability and change, and what challenges must be addressed if these processes are to succeed.
