“A global climate deal that reflects the interests of the poorest and most climate vulnerable countries is possible only if climate change negotiators from these countries take part in international climate negotiations. A limited number of other programmes have supported climate change negotiators, but there has been very little analysis directed at their design, monitoring and evaluation or performance, and their lessons are not very well documented. This working paper highlights some of the lessons learned from CDKN’s experience so far and aims to help negotiators, donors and other international climate change policy makers better understand how best to support international climate negotiators.”
